Hello All,

The Vault opens on August 23rd and runs through to September 6th. This one is different to anything we have run before: the whole server is working on the same puzzle at the same time.

The Vault:

There is a vault in the city with a hidden combination. Four numbers, each 0 to 9, and numbers can repeat.
Guess the combination and you get told two things straight away: how many of your numbers are in the code, and how many are in exactly the right spot.
Crack the combination and the door takes damage. Every combination you crack chips the health bar down.
When that bar hits zero the vault is CRACKED, everyone who helped gets paid, and a fresh combination is already spinning.

Everyone Gets Paid:

This is not a leaderboard. There is no first place.
Every player with at least 5 guesses in a round collects 75,000 dealer points when the vault cracks.
It does not matter whether you landed the final combination or spent the round guessing wrong. If you helped, you get paid the same.

Share Your Clues:

You cannot solve this alone, and you are not meant to.
Every guess you make has a Share button that posts the result to global chat: your four numbers and what came back.
Shared clues carry a seal so everyone can see at a glance which numbers came straight from the vault itself.
Watch chat, take what other players have ruled out, and narrow it down together. The whole server is working the same lock.
When a combination is cracked the lock spins to a new one, and that is announced in chat too, so you always know when the board has reset.

Your Guesses:

Check in once a day for 15 free guesses.
Complete objectives for more: crimes, mugs, busts, kills and missions each have five tiers worth 3 guesses apiece.
That is up to 175 guesses a week without spending a thing.
Each guess costs $10,000,000 to try. A Lockpick waives that fee entirely.
Everything resets partway through, so the objectives and your daily check-in start fresh for the second week.

Badges:

Three new profile badges are up for grabs.
The Vault: Demolition Crew comes with the Crowbar Kit.
The Vault: Crack Crew goes to everyone who qualifies on a cracked vault.
The Vault: Codebreaker goes to whoever lands the final combination.
The last two stack, so crack six vaults and your profile shows it.

Heist was way better than this

But since we are here, what does this actually pay out?? I mean besides 75k dealer points and a badge or 2??

It doesn't seem to pay anything for getting correct tries and obviously we already learned that other ppl can be working on it simultaneously and it doesn't post on the page or in chat so basically just waste your guesses there

and even if it paid on a safe crack, nobody gonna post in chat and then let someone else crack it and get paid to them only

So I don't get the point I guess. Especially for the donator packs??
